IPC-7132 is aimed at machine automation applications such as AOI (Automated Optical Inspection), machine controllers, and facility management, as well as factory automation and security surveillance.

IPC-7132 is a cost-effective, wallmount/desktop chassis designed to fit into most industrial environments looking to set up a user-friendly, full configuration system. Also, the standard 80-plus PS/2 300W and 400W power supplies are easy to install in IPC-7132 for a solid system infrastructure. The two USB ports on the front panel are designed for easy-maintenance and direct data access via thumb drive. The rich rear I/O ports include four USBs, two DB-9s and one LPT, and are reserved for multifunction communication devices. IPC-7132 supports industrial-grade motherboards, such as ATX or MicroATX form factors with four to seven rear expansion slots and also up to PICMG1.3 SBCs with ten matched rear expansion slots and a backplane inside for versatile add-on card installation.
